In 2019, United Nations Secretary General stated, “the climate emergency is a race we are losing, but it is a race we can win”. My guest, pediatrician and cofounder of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), Dr. Lynn Ringenberg agrees as she professes, “there is hope.”

But first, we need to understand the depth of the problem. Many get how the environment influences our health, but few make the connection that climate change plays a role. Dr. Ringenberg also highlights that children are amongst the most vulnerable when it comes to the effects of climate change. Therefore, we must support efforts to protect our children now and leave behind a healthy planet for future generations.

This episode covers:

-the history of PSR and the work it does today

-what climate change really is

-the nature of our existing climate crisis

-8 impacts of climate crisis on health

-practical solutions to help reverse climate change

Thanks, Lynn Ringenberg, MD!
