Ep. 62: Family Fitness: A Noteworthy Advocate in Brooklyn, NY

Conquering the childhood obesity epidemic requires a multifaceted approach including family, community and national efforts. One noteworthy advocate, Mr. Vincent Ferguson, created the Children’s Sports & Fitness Expo in Brooklyn, New York to highlight the importance of youth fitness and empower families to develop a healthy lifestyle. And he didn’t stop there-he went on to write a youth fitness book and develop a fitness program for families. Strong work!

This episode covers:

-What inspired him to focus on youth fitness

-His book, Get Ready, Get Set, Get Fit (A Guide to Developing Youth Fitness)

-How he incorporates healthy nutrition into the program

-The goals of the Expo and how he pulls it all off

Thank You, Mr. Vincent Ferguson!
